Local Information

The TQFT Spring School will be held at the Old Orchard Inn in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Wolfville and the Old Orchard Inn are in the Sipekne’katik district of Mi`kma`ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi`kmaq. These lands are covered by the Peace and Friendship Treaties, which establish an enduring and equal partnership between nations.

Rooms

Students will be housed in shared double rooms. Students who wish to have their own room can do so, but by default we will only be able to pay half of the room cost; students who need private rooms for accessibility reasons are asked to contact the organizers. By default, rooms will be assigned randomly, ignoring all demographic questions including gender. During the registration process, students will have the opportunity to request a specific roommate and/or a same-gender roommate.

Schedule

We will be able to cover five nights of housing: Sunday, April 31 to Friday, May 5. We plan to have classes in the mornings, 9am to 1pm, Monday-Friday, and there will be problem sessions in the evenings, 8pm to 10pm, Monday through Thursday.
