Getting here
Fredericton International Airport (YFC) is a 15 minute drive from campus, and has direct flights from most major Canadian cities and some international cities. Taxis are available from the airport — there is no public transportation.
We will be able to cover up to six nights of housing: Sunday, May 18, to Saturday, May 24. Official programming will run from 9am Monday morning to 1pm Friday afternoon. Participants should plan to arrive on Sunday and depart either Friday evening or Saturday.
If you arrive during office hours (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM), please check in to for your housing at 20 Bailey Dr (residence admin). Outside of office hours, there will be student staff on duty in the residence building. Their contact number will be communicated to participants.
Rooms
Students will be housed in dorms of UNB's Summer Hotel. Each room is shared by two students and consists of two single beds and a desk. There are two shared bathrooms on each floor, each equipped with two toilets and one shower. UNB provides linen, towels, toilet paper, and soap, with replacement towels offered on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. They will not provide housekeeping during the stay.
Students who wish to have their own room can do so, but by default we will only be able to pay half of the room cost; students who need private rooms for accessibility reasons are asked to contact the organizers. By default, rooms will be assigned randomly, ignoring all demographic questions including gender. During the registration process, students will have the opportunity to request a specific roommate and/or a same-gender roommate.
Housing is offered from Sunday check-in to Saturday check-out. Participants who wish to stay longer should expect to pay $120/night for a double room.
Food
Downtown Fredericton is a 15-minute walk from campus, and has many food options. Food options on campus itself are extremely limited.
